Pirates Welcome the Admiral on Board the Ship

Galveston Pirate Soccer Club today announce the news that they were joined on board the Pirate Ship by a new Admiral in the form of sporting apparel giant Admiral Sportswear.

Admiral sportswear have agreed to partner with the ambitious Texas side to outfit the team with new kit in a deal that will run for a five year period, the first of which will be showcased in the next few weeks for the upcoming NPSL season.

The British sporting giant was synonymous with soccer apparel in the 70's, 80's and 90's with many of the UK's largest sides being part of the Admiral stable during these times.

The company has been stepping more into the US market in recent times with many NASL, USL and NPSL sides already on board with them, with the Pirates the latest to join under the Admiral umbrella.

Pirate owner and head coach Brendan Keyes has been instrumental in the past couple of years of rebuilding the 'Pirate' brand in the Galveston area and sees this as major achievement in taking their product and brand to the locals, not only city wide but hopefully state and nation wide.

Paul Hamburger, CEO of Admiral Soccer said “You’ll see Admiral returning to the field in leagues across America, Galveston are one of many NPSL teams we’re working with this season. They are a great club and really develop their players because they have one of the most experienced management coaches in the league”
“The USA is one of the biggest soccer markets in the world and Texas is one of the biggest soccer states in the US. We’re delighted to support soccer in Galveston and plan to build relationships with teams across the state."

Brendan Keyes spoke about the deal himself saying:"I have been working on this deal for a while now and now that it's been announced, I can maybe get some sleep."
"With all the matches we have planned to play and the national stage we are about to be placed on, we wanted a kit that would encompass everything we aspire to be. This new kit will propel us into a different league and one that we can be proud of as a club."
"I guess I can at least relax a little because it's a weight off my mind that this part of the Pirate growth programme has been completed; It's also a little ironic that it's 'Admiral' that has become part of the Pirate Ship Crew." Keyes joked.
"I wonder if they do eye patches?"

Both home and away kit will also be available for general sale to the public to help grow and enhance the club within the soccer community.
